Identity help please.....

This belongs to a bass player friend of mine who is seeking any info about it. All I can tell you is he was told it was made by a builder in Detroit and it has Barts in it. I know that's not a lot but it's all he could give me. I would appreciate anything you might know about this thing.

It's clearly Carl Thompson inspired. I did some searching but didn't turn anything up yet. I'll keep looking, I like a challenge!

IIRC they use to run some 1/8 and 1/4 page ads in Bass Player with the text "Your girlfriend isn't flat, why should your bass be?" or something to that effect.

I just passed the info along to him. This was a part of a lot of musical gear he was able to pick up for his little music store. The whole lot was picked up for way less than the bass is worth. As a matter of fact he said he cleared well over $3500 on those items without selling the bass. So in essence he got it for free I guess. Lucky stiff. LOL!
