They have a new USA distributor as of late last year. That is yet to be seen how the new distributor works out.I'd love to known when/where those Ashdown roasted basses will be available to purchase in the USA
This is from last year, but it carries over to this year:So, Fender’s not at NAMM? What’s the deal
Ah man, can’t like that. I always look forward to his pics and info. Get well, @wintremute@wintremute got the Covid and didn't go this year.
I have inquired with the new distributor, but so far have not heard anything at all about Ashdown from them.I'd love to known when/where those Ashdown roasted basses will be available to purchase in the USA
Be patient. I can't remember the member's name, but he posts the most amazing NAMM thread every year. Fantastic pics with detailed narrative.
I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the thread.
@wintremute got the Covid and didn't go this year.
Is Ric there? In years past I got all kinds of emails invites, info on who would be theere, etc.. This year not so much. Not that I could have gone, even though I’m about two hours away.I have a friend there sharing images, and also through observing the MTD USA thread for images posted today (sold out the booth full of guitars by 11AM!), it sounds like it's a mix of smaller boutique/ up and coming custom builders, and there is some genuine excitement going on.
So - as the post pandemic NAMM evolves, perhaps that's how it will continue to play out. Smaller folks just don't have the marketing budget to do what Fender mentioned is their new paradigm in that article referenced above. And that actually could be very good news. Love all the amazing instruments posted here regularly from brands I've never heard of before. Seems NAMM could be just the ticket to promote that brand of creativity and ingenuity, for those that can afford the cost to attend.
