Buslady, you deliver! Love me some trains- although I'd guess you know more in the way of vintage aircraft than I do about modern locomotives. The fire trucks(engines? Can't recall the diff, though I know there is one)are also nice.

It's very simple. People buy them, therefore they build them. I'd love to have one for camping, just not backing up with a boat. Then again, it probably has a rear view video monitor so...........I'd take it fishing
We have many, custom "5 Ton" pickup trucks on the road around here, this isn't really that extreme.

Yeah, I'm still struggling to understand. I don't get why anyone would want one. IMO they are hideously ugly and pointless. If you drove one round here, people would almost certainly point and laugh.

I believe Engines carry pumps and tanks(aka Pumpers), and trucks are like the ladder tillers, they dont have pumps.

Ya'all laugh at a lot of things us Merkuns do
IMHO, with most things, that's a good sign. The people that I know that drive them, often pull large 5th wheel trailers or do guided hunts requiring hauling 6 people plus gear, plus ATV's into very rough terrrain. I don't think either occasion would even be possible in the UK.
You see these in towns all over France. Hard to find parking in the old villages and towns. These things deal with it well.
This appears to be the sporty version. Probably has a 12hp lawn mower engine. Pretty goofy looking. Looks like just the right car to score with chicks.
They're made not too far away in Aix les Bains. The company is called Aixam. Check them out for a giggle.

I see these around town on occassion and I do point and laugh.
I think it's remarkable how these tremendous "off road" machines never seem to have a spec of dirt on them aside form the normal bit of "needs a wash" that you get from driving to work.
Oh well. It's their money and if that's what they want to do with it . . .
