On another note, I'm becoming quite partial to Conquest Vehicles new Knight XV. Its a glorified military luxury SUV. Biofuel V10, armor plating, ballistic run flat system. All for $295,000

The only thing stopping me from really wanting this is that Nickelback used it to go to the MuchMusic awards this past year.

I've always thought that the South African G6 howitzer is one of the coolest pieces of military technology out there. So, an engine, and a 155mm gun to bootI'm waiting when one of these becomes the next fad instead of Hummers

I don't get it.
I used to race this. 40+HP, six speed gear box, water cooled. Fastest I ever went in a race was 120 MPH
It's very simple. People buy them, therefore they build them. I'd love to have one for camping, just not backing up with a boat. Then again, it probably has a rear view video monitor so...........I'd take it fishing
We have many, custom "5 Ton" pickup trucks on the road around here, this isn't really that extreme.

Crown built the plane is all I know, aircraft were short lived with them. They were mainly a truck builder first then into schoolbuses, coaches and then later fire apparatus. Theyre out of business now, they built buses so well, they never die.
We have Chino airport near here, at least once a month they guys out there pull out the toys and go fly. So we get WWII often around here. P38s, Mustangs, Bi planes, everything...I don't have to go far for a vintage air show, my front yard! lol

This is a dangerous topic for me, I love vehicles...cars, buses trucks, planes, trains...everything...I used to work on my Volkswagen buses back in high school. lol

1966 Crown Firecoach, Engine 9109 Orange County Fire; Served Mission Viejo; owned by my friend Mike Britt, I've driven this baby. 5 speed manual, detroit diesel 671, very lightweight, feels funky without weight. He doesnt carry water cos I don't think the pump works anymore....for some reason though I think he did fix it. Hehe thats my friend Trina in the right side.
Mike's 2nd rig is this guy E3, Ex-Culver, Automatic 1970 Crown. I forgot the power, I think it's a Cummins. Drove this too. The '66 is much more fun though.
And here, another one of my loves, big 6,000hp dieselectrics...heh...
I take all these pics...
This is a pic I'm particularly proud of. Taken with an Olympus E510 DSLR. Engine is a UP special scheme, Wester Pacific. There's actually a better shot but I can't find it! argh!

And here we have Amtrak P42 Genesis on the head end of the Sunset Limited at speed.
We were chasing the Sunset, the 10 freeway is right by the line, and somehow this pic came out kinda cool

I actually set up for this shot and waited over an hour so I'm proud of this one.
BNSF C44-9W 4163 heading down the Cajon Pass, one of the great railfan spots in the US.
