If Only There Was A Store Like This...

Too bad it's on the other side of the country.

Road trip.

But yeah, I feel you. The one store around here that has higher-end gear has them locked in a fancy-room, and there's no way I have the balls to ask to play them. Especially knowing that I'm able to spend less than a tenth of what most of them cost... Still, their selection is nothing compared to what's out there.

I'd need more reason than just visiting a bass shop to travel that far...

The only higher end basses around here that I can think of are a few Peavey cirrus basses at a store I know. They have been there so long that when I went in to try on of the five string ones the battery was all but dead. Had a mesa boogie walkabout cranked and could barely hear it so I hope it was the battery.

That's another brand I only ever see used here and there: Peavey.

Wouldn't it?

There are three brands of basses that aren't carried at any of the shops in my area: Lakland, Sadowsky, and Carvin.

Also, there are a few shops around that carry Ibanez, but none of them carry the prestige series, the premium series, or any SRTs.

Really, the shops near me don't seem to carry any boutique basses.

You won't find Carvins in stock at any store except the Carvin store.
