Here's what I'd buy, in this order, should I somehow come across silly amounts of money...

1. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

2. Fretless Wal Mach I with padauk facings, gold hardware, and an unlined ebony fingerboard. Like this one, only right handed, and no lines on the fingerboard.

3. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], with a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. Already have the bass, just need the bridge...

4. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] with Lindy Fralin pickups, since they sound even more vintage than the pickups the bass comes with and will probably come closer to producing the bottom end Geddy gets with his Jazz.

5. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

6. Five string Wal Mach III with quilted maple facings and a maple fingerboard, stained candy apple red, like this one, only right handed and five string.

7. Rickenbacker 4003/S8 eight string like [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] one, only I'd want midnight blue, like the color on [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] this bass.

Currently I just have one bass, except for my double bass. My dream rig would be:
- Keeping my precious 74' Jazzbass, and adding up with an old fretless jazz bass. (kinda Jaco? ).
-To me, the Jazzbass is like 10 basses in one ! I've tried Warwicks and Tobiases and MusicMen and so on, 4,5 and 6-strings, and I found all of them quite amusing, but I always end up with the jazzbass! -It's so flexible and sounds unique whether I play Hardcore thrash-funk, or smooth 80's fusion style. And who needs a 2.000$ thing from Modulus to get the Flea-sound? -Just put new strings on your JB and you're ready to rock !! I just want a fretless real bad !! -Anyone tried out the new Jaco Pastorius 'Relic - bass?

-Well, don't throw your J-Bass, I'll take it off your hands for nothing !! - I've tried Alembic's, and to me they're not even remotely in family with my J-bass... Tonewise, lookwise, playabilitywise, anywise... - Fender Jazzbass RULES !
(-If they're older than 1980's that is...)
