Six basses?

I'd have to buy 2 more. And find other gigs where they could be used. I find the 4 basses I have to be overkill.

Precision, Jazz, Stingray,(all four string) yes.
A fretless, a five-string, and #6 would be a hollow-body or semi-hollow. Gibson EB-2 or similar, Maybe a Reverend or Gretsch

Apart from the 4001, not bothered too much about brands. The instrument just needs to be playable and sound ok.

I’m at 9 right now, so this should be fairly easy.

1) a P. Between my 74, my 57AVRI and my Commemorative, I suppose I would keep the 74, but the Commemorative is special.

2) Road Worn Jazz (MJT refinished in seafoam green with matching headstock).

3) ‘76 Mustang

4) Rob Allen Deep 4 fretless. I had been jonesing for a lined Mouse, but I’m so glad I took the leap with this one.

5) Rickenbacker 4003S with the toaster nexk pickup

6) Mensinger Joker B—medium scale 5-string. I’m about to put a Notdstrand pre in it.

I guess that leaves the StringRay classic on the chopping block, along with whichever 2 P’s don’t make the cut.

I'd really just want a couple more fretted and fretless 6er singlecuts, and maybe a TRB6 Custom (one of those ones with the super-laminate necks etc).

So, lets say your wife said you can have 6 basses, obviously in a perfect world we all want one of everything, but hypothetically lets say you could have 6 and you wanted the widest spectrum of basses. Lets say you already have an Epiphone Rivoli so you have the Gibson Mudbucker sound, you have a 4003 so you have that, you have a P bass so you have that. Obviously you would need a J bass as #4, and I'm guessing some kind of Stingray for #5, but what would 6 be? Thunderbird? Hofner? Dingwall? Some kind of acoustic with a piezo? Some kind of 5 string?

6? I have 4 and that is too many.

I was about to offer up some mildly snarky response along the lines of who needs 6 basses until I counted and realized I have 6 basses, not including an upright and a baby bass. So who’s the jerk now.

1- Felling
2- Limbing
3- Splitting
4- Bowl Carving (or other larger objects)
3- Spoon Carving (or other small objects)
6- General Purpose hatchet



I only want, like, 3 basses though:
1- Ric, for Lemmy stuff
2- Pbass, for other stuff
3- Spector Euro 5 LX, for metal stuff that uses 5 strings
4- Hewing axe
5- Bearded axe
6- Throwing axe, maybe tomahawk style but otherwise of the smaller head variety
