It's great for the studio, for rehearsals, for cafe/accoustic gigs, and for any other gig that has good PA support, so that it's only a stage monitor for me. All the right inputs/outputs and configuration switches to set them up usefully. Works great for rock bass guitar, but also jazz EUB. I've amps that are bigger, louder, and have more controls, but if I could only keep one amp, this little thing would be it. It's a real shame they were so expensive for EBS to produce that they weren't made for very long.

I DO have only one amp (not counting practice amps). It's the Hartke KB12 (the newer one, with 500w Peak). VERY loud and clean, easy EQ, DI out, small and light enough to hold in my lap if necessary. I have used it for country gigs in large rooms with no line to the board. As long as it continues to function properly, I may never buy another amp.

It’s a great amp, one that I have recommended to people here. The matchmaker in me has been thinking about it paired with a Mesa Subway 215. I could probably play anywhere happily with that.

My choice of the 800RB in this thread was based on the warm fat tube-like sound that no other solid state head I’ve ever heard does as well. At the same time it has the snap of a modern sounding amp.

Right on, man - thanks for weighing in on it. I totally get the love for the 800RB - I've never owned one but I've played through them a few times and I can clearly remember how good they sounded.

And yes, the EBS paired with that 215 would be a magical thing.

I only own one amp, a GK MB200 head and a GK neo 112. The head weighs 2lbs, and I can use it as a DI. I don't play with loud guitars or heavy hitter drummers. I'd consider a second 1x12 and maybe an amp upgrade to MB500 if I were doing bigger bands/bigger stages, but this little <40lb rig does everything I've asked it to do in my world of mostly Latin and piano jazz.

My gk 400 rb. And I would say my 4x10 gk cab but it's too darn heavy. Let's say my gk and a 4x10 lightweight cab.
Anyway I'm not mad at all about the weight of my cab. It only get out of the rehearsal space to the bus for big shows. On small or "non so important shows" I just use the backline cab of the venue.

I have a few, but honestly could get by with nothing more than the little Acoustic Image Coda combo. Can't remember the last time I used anything else.
Put a VTBass DI in front of it if I want it to sound like an SVT.

I've owned a lot of amps over the years.Marshall,Ampeg,Peavey,pretty much most of what Gallien Krueger made as heads in the 80's & too many power amps & preamps to mention.
The Quilter does it for me.
