If you could only own one amp

My audiokinesis 1505 is the only cab I will ever need, nothing else comes close. As for amps I like the WD-800.

I have a few, but honestly could get by with nothing more than the little Acoustic Image Coda combo. Can't remember the last time I used anything else.
Put a VTBass DI in front of it if I want it to sound like an SVT.

that'd probably be my Double Four, a 9lb 70W combo. I'd have to get a nice powered cab for more volume occasions though. I love tiny combos and desperately need one.

Taking into consideration every factor (flexibility for playing at home and gigs, cost, tone, volume, weight, size, etc.) what amp would you own if you could only have one?

I like to keep the amount of gear I have to a minimum. This question came up since I’m branching out into heads, cabs and/or larger combos. I’m wondering what would be the perfect amp to carry around from home to playing with other amplified instruments.

I didn’t want to ask this question just for myself but hope others could chime in on what their idea of a “jack of all trades” amplifier might be.

The answer is obvious: Quilter Bass Block 802.

I do only own one amp and it’s done the trick for me for years and years. It’s a MK1 GK MB500 2x10 combo. Plenty loud, portable enough for transit if need be and flexible enough for the genres that I play

If I had to lug it everywhere? Prolly GK800RB. Or Ashdown ABM500. I love my Reeves C225 though, but I live on the 3rd floor.

If I had to keep only one amp it would be my little Schertler (SR) B10. It gets used just about every day in my studio and at nearly all my gigs and has one of the nicest sounding DI's I've used. A 10" combo rated at 300w RMS.
I rarely play in loud rock bands but it is loud enough to suffice as a monitor and if I'm playing in a loud band I've got enough PA to use the DI out of the amp. I even used it at all rehearsals in a classic rock trio and with a drummer and guitarist that were able to control their volume it was more than enough.
So yeah, my little 10" combo would do it for me.
Here it is sitting in its usual place in my happy corner.

Ok....If I could own one amp and only ONE amp (and I was still a young man) it would be the 360/361 ACC.

That being said however, I am not a young man any longer, so I will pick.....hmmm....My early production Markbass CMD121P with the NY121 Extension cab. It kicks serious butt............

I love AI, I own and use two combos and an extension cab but the thread title said only one so I had to pick Walter Woods If WW amps were no longer available, I'd have picked AI.

I’ve only owned one amp for nearly 20 years, a Walter Woods Ultra. The cabs have changed a few times, but right now I’ve got Bergantino Ref 112 and 210 cabinets. That’s a pretty satisfying rig.
