I have flats on my 98 stingray. I don't like it in a live setting, but for recording it is the effin bomb.

Fretless is the only bass I don't like Flats on.
I like Jazz with flats a well. "Stadium Arcadium" by Red Hot Chili Peppers is a perfect example!I'm a freak. I like jazz basses with flats and p basses with nickel rounds.
I love the feeling of flats. Sounds great too, especially on a P bass. TB wasn't joking! I've been using six year old DR flats, guess I should replace them... But I am unsure what to get. From which type of bass do you prefer it from?
These choices are more for the type of bass (e.g. Jazz basses could also comprise the single-coil Jaguars, Peaveys, Sandbergs, Sadowsky's, etc...) than actual brands.
Sure sure, there are plenty of TB folks who don't like playing with flats, but I'm sure at least some of you like recordings with flats. So it can be either/or/and.
So if you have a preference, feel free to express why. Or if you don't have a preference, that's cool too. Maybe even list in some order which you like better.
