It also works with domains using "domain:".

Interesting question for me, since I got my new Zon I am 100% happy with my rig and my main bass, my fretless Zon. It matches the sound I hear in my head.

So - with 4K, I would get:
A GB Shuttle 9.0 to compliment my Streamliner 900.
And I'd build a Tuxedo Stingray.
White body, black pickguard, Status graphite neck, black HW.

I'd use the rest to buy basses for a school.

If "rig" could refer to more than just the amp, I'd get:

A Crown XLS1000

A multi-band equalizer (preferably parametric)

A fEARful 12/6/1 cab + 12 sub

and with the left over money...

A higher end Ibanez bass and/or possibly a Dingwall AB1.

If there was any money left over after that would go into tools for modifying and/or building my own basses

hmm... 4 grand. I would have Electrical Guitar Company build me a aluminum neck Wedge bass with a Koa body in a natural nitro matte finish. I would have about $1500 left over. I'd have a custom Anvil case built for my Marshall 2x15 cabinet, then I'd pump the rest into strings, cables, backup cables, more strings, maybe a few microphones.
