Why should you limit yourself to 4-5-6-10-22 whatever strings you want. I support those crazy guys pushing the envelope.. ERB are cool

I only played with my fingers until I jammed with my acoustic bass this weekend with 4 guitards. The pick came out pretty quick when I realized that I couldn't be heard fingerstyle. These fingerstyle fanatics obviously have never tried to be heard on an acoustic.

I only use my fingers when I play electric though. It is not wrong or right or less manly to use a pick IMO. I just personally like fingerstyle and that was how I was taught. To each their own.
