P basses/Stingrays are one trick ponies.
Bass is easier than guitar.
-Ill comment on this one. While its definitely easier to pick a bass and learn a cover or two, its way harder to become a grooving bassist that really knows what he/she is doing.

You need at least 500watts minimum for gigs.

450 will get you burried alive, but 500 is fine.

So do you. n00b! I once thought about getting a P bass with flats to get the proclaimed tone that's toted as the only one producers know how to use, but my Conklin nails a P bass w/flats tone via the RMC piezos and Bartolini 3 band. I guess I won't get that Fender after all!

Yeah but it doesn't look like a Fender P. The average producer will take one look at your Conklin and run out of the studio screaming!
