Ignorant cab input question

Should not be done for this reason; any two items connected to either of the two parallel jacks of a speaker cabinet is also directly connected to the item connected to the other jack.

The output of the amp that is “on” would be connected to the speaker cab AND internal components of the amp that is “off” through the common wiring between the two speaker jacks. Sending power IN to the speaker output jack of a second amp will do some damage to the amp receiving power and probably to the amp sending the power due to low impedance.

The “NOs” have it.

Even with my Eden WT500/800 amp that has two discrete power sections, you are warned to never plug both sides of the amp into one cab or you will damage the amp and possibly blow the cab too. The amp is built to bridge both of those power sections but you have to connect only to the bridged output, not both of the discrete right and left outputs.
