Oh no, are the mods out to lock this thread already? It's just that I love playing bass (simple old fashioned 4 string EADG bass) and I really hate soldering mini switches. Cognac in risotto is probably not really a thing
When I ask a guest in my home if they want some tea and they assume it's going to be super sweet and colder than a polar bear's nipples just because I live in the south. I shouldn't have to say hot tea! They should have to say iced tea!!! Why don't I just keep iced tea in my house? It's so embarrassing, god!!!
I have never ever had a bass guitar fall to the floor because of a strap and/or strap button related failure, but I will defend to the death your right to install Dunlop or Schaller or Grolsch straplock thingies on your bass.

The fact that drop F is a real thing, that makes me pretty mad. It's like drop A with more face palming.
Subwoofers. Subwoofers. Sound men that think the kick drum IS the most important thing in the mix and that the bass guitar has no content above 100hz.

So it seems that this thread has touched a nerve. I am truly very sorry. I would hate to think that bassists are fundamentally an angry bunch.
Some of you may remember earlier this year I had surgery and was on these awesome painkillers and started a bunch of weird threads? Well, cognac risotto is kinda like that. Phew! Definitely time to lie down.
I really miss those painkillers though.
Did I tell you that I am gonna build a Bass VI? Assuming that my router depth gauge isn't completely screwed, that is. Well, I'm guessing there's plenty more to be angry about right there.
