I'll give it a few more days then I'll email him and see if he as forgotten about me :D

:bassist:

Hehe, nice, mate!

I bet Fred is quite busy at the moment, almost everywhere on this forum I can see that people either got one Bee bass in the works or having a quote for it. :)

I've got one on order, and just today Fred and I settled on the topwood!

WOW!!!!!!!! THAT HAS GOT TO BE THE NICEST TOP EVER!!!!!

CONGRATS BRO!!!!! Sorry to hear about the craked out Mohogany body..... :hmm:

2 months and 2 days since I sent my email now.
Everyone seems to be getting replies from Petra/Fred but me :crying:

Oh well, I'll survive :bassist:

Hey whats up Athe, i sent another email aprox two weeks ago now, and no answer either. other times ive gone like 4 or 5 months without an answer. I actually havent heard from fred in months regarding some important questions about the neck on my bass, ive since asking the question received an email from Mrs Bolton (Petra) telling me that fred will be answering mail soon. Its been a while since ive heard from fred just like you bro.... :hmm:

Hers another thing..... Winter NAMM is right around the corner. Fred most likely spending most of his time preparing for that to go smoothly for himself. He has a heavy load to keep up with just with NAMM alone, so i doubt anyones going to get anything out of Fred regarding their builds till like around Febuary........

haven't gotten any photo updates, but i was told that my bass will be the first one out following the namm show, so that's just about right on with the schedule i was given...i'm quite happy with that, given his busy schedule and the work he's got to do ramping up for the namm show...i should have it by the beginning of february some time

I sent him another email yesterday, waiting for a reply:( Its been close to 3 months now since I sent the last mail (except for the one i sent yesterday).

IMO I dont like the feeling to have sent close to $3000 across the globe, then not getting any contact with the person anymore.

they started driving down to california this morning and petra told me that will fred will be answering emails along the way...they've been pretty busy getting ready for namm and everything...i still haven't gotten any real updates and the only pics i've gotten were for wood choices...it's supposed to be finished soon after namm, though, so i'm excited...since they're driving, i was told that they would be back from the show on or about he 24th...

i sent the payment in to get the graphite neck started last august/beginning of september...i'm not sure mine's started either...i've never gotten a real update or progress picture, so it makes me wonder if there's any progress to report, you know? :hmm: i got an email from him asking if i was sure about the graphite neck in november or so...i thought it would've been finished by then...who knows...

Yeah...i'm thinking the same thing..wondering if there is any progress to report.. oh well.

I deposited my money in september, placed the order in august.. I dont really know when to expect it to be finished. Actually, I dont care to wait for a longer time, as long as I get some progress report :D

Stingers woooooh!:bassist:

Well I know that orders are not technically placed until the 40% deposit is made...

I just spec'ed out a fretted 4 Worker out of some figured Bubinga Fred's been holding for me. I expect a quote after NAMM some time... I know he was waiting on a price for the Kahler trem that is going on it and such.

I'll most likely get him the deposit by March and have told him he can time it as a NAMM 2010 bass.

Fred is busy building basses :)

Waiting isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
Agreed. My deposit was made last May with an estimated delivery of late August / early September, and I'm still fine with waiting. Obviously, Fred is busy. That is a good thing.

Of course, I'm secretly hoping to see my bass in one of the NAMM threads later this week, but I'm not holding my breath. Yet. :D
