The age you're ready to marry varies widely between people. I have friends that did it at 24 right out of college and have everything they wanted out of life. I have friends that waited and are miserable. It all depends on whether you'll help each other achieve your life goals.

It seems like the most important thing is you put the marriage first. You have to create the marriage...and then keep creating it all through your life. If you just assume it will be there...that's the moment it ceases to exist.

Right now, I wish you all the happiness you can have. Be young, be giddy, and never let that completely die.

CONGRATS, Dharma! I was 21 and my wife was 22 when we got married. Going on 5 years now with our first child on the way. If you've picked the right girl, marriage gets better and better. My only advice is to make sure that a solid friendship is the basis of the relationship...you gotta have something to rely on.

I waited a LONG time to get married, but I'm glad I did, 'cause I found the right woman for me. Now we have a wonderful 3½-year-old boy and I'm as happy as I could possibly wish to be.
