I'm in love with Tal

I think Tal is a great player, no doubt she is a proffesional player and should be, she could lay down the bottom end for most proffesional artists out there and do a phenomenal job. Tal deserves nothing but praise for being a superb musician

However I do agree shes extra hyped up(my guess because shes a young nice girl) I mean there are other young players out there thats just as good and even more virtuose that doesnt get half the praise she s getting. Also just take a look at youtube, there are plenty mediocre girlbassists who gets a TON of views and likes and attention while some of the twice as good male players maybe got half ad many views. Thats just showbiz I guess.

Just wait until someone writes that they want to do the same to JimmyM's bare feet after a show.

Curiously, I think that post summed up the thread in a nutshell. People's reactions (particularly those of heterosexual males) to Tal have a sexual component which does appear to impact their evaluations. Thus, I think it best to imagine her as a grumpy, smelly, old man while listening, in order to mitigate that variable....

I was in highschool when The Police first came on the scene.....In all this time, I've never heard women speak about Sting in terms of how great a bassist he is....Or singer...Or actor.

It's always been about how Hot the guy is.

Welcome to the jungle.
