If your luthier is using gorilla glue, might be time to find a new luthier.
Eh, every day someone plays an instrument with a headstock that's been snapped off, and luthiers do these types of repairs all the time. It should be fine.
Agree w/Picton - if a luthier I considered did that type of repair I'd run the other direction as quickly as possible!

As the saying goes, just because something makes a statement doesn't mean anyone has an obligation to take it seriously... (or something to that nature)
