Please do it.Just checked your profile, haven't ignored you yet but you're getting there!
Glad you got it resolved so quickly. It sounded like it was going to take a lot of time and hassle.Didn't take me more than an hour to get this straightened out. I'm spending more time defending myself on here! What's your time worth?
No, no they're not. The customer is frequently extremely wrong. That saying originated in sales and just meant that if the customer wants to buy something don't talk them out of it, even if what they want seems stupid to the salesman. It's not "I'm buying something so I can be completely unreasonable but I'm still correct! no matter what"
As an example of how a customer might be wrong: the customer could fire off half-cocked and try to trash a business before ever contacting them (because the CS is done via chat instead of a phone number boo hoo), harass the CEO on social media (before actually contacting CS), receive amazing customer service and get a refund even though the mistake was with another company and there is no proof of what the customer claims, and then still go on a forum and without even acknowledging how wrong they were shift smoothly into accusing another company that's making $61,000,000,000 shipping 5,500,000,000 packages PER YEAR of trying to commit fraud and screw them out of $20 and bragging about what a hero they are for standing up to the man.
That's one way a customer could be pretty wrong on every level.
post of the year so far.
I don't applaud dragging Reverb through the mud on a public forum when they were not at fault. Reverb has the best customer service I have ever seen. When they are asked to get involved, they take action and make sure to treat you fairly. Op never disputed the facts I laid out in post #56 which clearly show reverb is not at fault.$20 is $20. Sharing concerning information in a forum such as this helps keep companies such as Reverb honest. I applaud OP for sounding an alarm, even if a bit overzealous or misdirected. It’s all good. We are capable of discerning the situation given his open responses. Thank you OP.
I have sold about 100 items on Reverb, and found the shipping label service very handy. Early days seemed like a bargain, at least for basses and guitars (UPS). Haven’t sold one in a awhile, but when I have, they usually sell fast.
I have also purchased a great deal through them and enjoy shopping there frequently. Apart from the occasional misunderstanding or shipping mishap, the deals have been 97.5% clean. Misunderstandings and mishaps have been resolved reasonably, a few times with the aid of the Reverb customer service team.
I love it. I really do. It is so much fun for me, gas, it’s ridiculous. I think Reverb is easily one of the greatest websites ever. That said, $20 is a darn good 12 pack, so let’s keep it that way.
I really don't understand how the Mods allows these "Trash" threads to continue. If I was a moderator, I would have closed this thread after the 1st post.
The title makes Reverb look bad and that is just not accurate. Yet the thread is on its 5th page with half the people being clueless as to what really happened.
