I'm thinking 2-12s, but which one(s)...?

I have one of those nifty little Kustom KXB500 and am looking to pair it up with a 2-12 cab(s). Beings that I do not have many to choose from and listen to locally, I'm going to rely on the collective TB members to help choose one for me.

I've done some research and the list, so far, is...

TC Electronic RS212
Aggie GS112 x2
Eden D112XST x2
Eden EX112 x2

Any other suggestions that I need to be looking at?

I am stunned by how good the Genz Benz Uber 212 4 ohm is.

I play on two GK 1x12's and am very satisfied.
If I was going to get a 2x12 cab it would be an Avatar. A friend of mine has two and they sound great.
I had an Avatar 2x12 when I lived in Seattle. And that was after owning an Acmebass 2x10. The acme DID go lower and was more hi-fi, but a HELL of a lot more expensive.

I was going to replace it with another 2x12 when I moved to KY, but I punted on the purchase and just got an Acoustic 200Watt and 4x10 for $200 to hold me over and now I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an Avatar TB153. There is other great stuff out there but the price - and what I have to live with afterward - both matter. For me, the avatars are the "sweet spot" in that formula.

I'm also going for orange vinyl and tweed grille, something hard to get in other brands. :)

I like what everyone has to offer above.
My recommendation today is the Invalid Link Removed.
Pick up a pair!

I play Classic Rock Covers so I'm guessing I should be looking for the old school sound-ish. The Kustom is pretty transparent. Not colored like my Ampeg rig. So yea, the scooped may be the direction that I ought to be looking in.

This is the bit of information I was looking for - if you ask for 212 recommendations, you'll get the phone book. To me, the best 212 cab I've tried for classic rock is the Ampeg 212AV - has that old-school vibe and tone to them that just works unbelievably well for that. I have two of them and keep the horns completely off and it nails it. They only make them in 4ohm configurations, which could be limiting if you ever want to run two of them together (unless you have a 2ohm capable head). I agree with what someone said earlier - I had two 112s at one point and never used just one. So I find hauling one 212 easier than 2 112s. YMMV

I've been using a Genz NeoX 212T for the last couple of years and I really like it. I prefer the vertical stack instead of the diagonal ones. Gets the second speaker closer to ear level. The cab weighs a tick over 50 lbs and is rated at 600 watts. Two things though, 1 they don't make them anymore but they are found used pretty regularly in the classifieds here, and 2 they are 4 ohm cabs.

There was a newer version of it as well, the NX2 212t. pretty much the same cab with different drivers and a couple refinements to tune to those drivers. They weigh in at 48 lbs if I remember. Same specs otherwise.

I use a pair of DNA 112's that totally kick butt. DNA is David Nordchow's new company. He was the original designer and owner of Eden when it was here in the US before he sold it to US Music. These two DNA 112 cabinets sound HUGE and warm when powered by my Eden WT-800C. I have owned many larger cabinets but I'll never need any more than these two from now on. They can handle a big outdoor stage or a small coffee shop with ease. Plus they only weigh 32 lbs. each so they a very easy to move around. I would highly recommend that you consider a pair of these. You won't be sorry!

I have a DNA DNS-210 and it's awesome. One of the best cabs I've owned and I've owned lots.
