I just found out about this. from the website:

The Immediate Family is a unique group of iconic musicians who have played together for decades but never as their own band. Known for their long, illustrious careers backing up such Hall-of-Fame artists such as James Taylor, Keith Richards, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, Stevie Nicks and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, guitarists Danny Kortchmar and Waddy Wachtel, drummer Russ Kunkel, and bassist Leland Sklar have come together, along with guitarist Steve Postell, to perform their own songs as The Immediate Family, a band that can legitimately be called a supergroup.

Some nasty smirches on Waddy Wachtel's story notwithstanding...

It's just that one smirch, no? (And admittedly I had to go look it up, I had no idea about his legal "issues")

Personally I think the bigger smirch on the entire lineup is simply how much SoCal yacht-rock crap they've all been involved in. :)
I recognize that they all have impressive credentials, but so much of it is in a musical genre that does absolutely nothing for me. But I'll bet they can rock the hell out of a club gig when left to their own devices. I'd pay to see 'em.

I saw them a couple years ago here in CT. 100% of my desire to see them came from my wish to see Sklar live, but the band was incredibly tight. These guys can play anything with perfect time, chops, and feel. Impressive, but not surprising given their virtuosity plus decades of experience playing together.

Managed to get a selfie with the man himself in his favorite pose!
