Important Development :How TO write Sarcastically.

TBers! My 15 year old brother has informed me that there is now a way to express sarcasm in text!

you now add a Shwa (sp?) ` in front of and behind ` sarcastic statements. For example,

"Oh yes that will `really aid productivity`."
"Come back! I `really want to be`your` friend`."
or the classic, "This is just a speech impediment! I've had it `all my life`."

For folks with browsers that didn't reproduce the aforementioned characters... the schwa looks like a upside down e, and the other character is a grave accent. (in [American English] pronounced: grAv aks-ent , in [UK] grov aks-ent or in [French] aks-oon grəv)

Isn't it `interesting` that the "accent grave" is pronounced using a schwa?

And to think I hated english classes -- and that was over 40 years ago. [French class was only 38]

I think it's extremely important for people to have a way to visually signal sarcasm for the benefit of those who can't figure it out for themselves.

actually, not the apostrophe ' but the accent mark ` found next to your 1 key, under the Escape key

On another forum I used to frequent we used a specific colour to denote sarcasm.

Yes, including nouns, pronouns, adverbs, parentheticals and any other portion of the sentence regardless of whether or not that area of the comment needs to be addressed.
