Godspeed. Sorry for your loss. I lost a lifelong friend at about the same age last October. Although, he passed after a four year fight against cancer. I can't imagine how hard it would be to lose someone as abruptly as you have. Strength to you in this time.

He took ill after rehearsing with us on Sunday. By Tuesday he was unresponsive. He was in ICU until Saturday, when it was apparent that the physicians' efforts were not reversing his condition. I was with him and his wife Saturday morning when she made the difficult decision to stop treatment and put him on comfort measures only, and later that afternoon when he peacefully left us, surrounded by family and friends.
