My sincere condolences on your loss.My lifelong friend, brother, and bandmate Bobby Neal died suddenly yesterday after a brief illness. He was 55.
He took ill after rehearsing with us on Sunday. By Tuesday he was unresponsive. He was in ICU until Saturday, when it was apparent that the physicians' efforts were not reversing his condition. I was with him and his wife Saturday morning when she made the difficult decision to stop treatment and put him on comfort measures only, and later that afternoon when he peacefully left us, surrounded by family and friends.
