Well, the heading said "Inappropriate" . - Can you give us a "for example" that's appropriate, but inappropriate for a first dance?

My thinking is, if it's appropriate for a wedding at all, it could still be appropriate for a first dance.

- I've played a lot of weddings, people have some really weird requests stylistically sometimes. I did one with all original progressive rock - 10-20 min long songs with odd time signatures and crazy style and tempo shifts all of a sudden - and people danced! No kidding - Been to an outdoor biker type wedding, too. Motorcycle pulls in right during vows - VROOON VROON - shuts off, parks - doesn't like the spot - starts up again -VROON VROOON moves the bike.

Then there was the drunk, teetering bride during the service. -- Point being : people do wierd things at weddings - musicians included - not always appropriate but memorable. It's their day.

There are plenty of songs that fit the mood of a multi-generational love-celebration where the lyrics miss the mark. I though that was maybe the "oops" situations the thread might be about. Perhaps I was over-thinking this.
