My first choice would be dump the BA for a real bridge correct for the era and play it.

Second choice is to dump the BA, refinish it black or CAR and get a W/B/W guard for it. CAR because itMY favorite color, or black because it looks better with maple necks. But that's just cosmetic stuff so I wouldn't waste money or time on that silliness.
