This is probably a question better suited for a guitar forum but at what wattage/length does it become unsafe to use an instrument cable as a speaker cable? I'm asking because I want to add a speaker out to my Danelectro Honeytone amp to connect it to some bigger speakers and the easiest way is to add a pair of jacks on the back one speaker out and one speaker in, and because of the close proximity it would be easier to just use one of my short pedal cables then to build a speaker cable. It only puts out about 1.5 watts into 8 ohms.
why risk it?
A speaker cable is dead easy to build if you don't want to buy one.
^^^ that would be my standard answer for something like that.
But if your amp is only 1.5W I'm pretty sure you'll be ok
