They have a mixture of instrumental and vocal tunes.
Definitely check out some Jean Luc-Ponty stuff. All instrumental fusion material.

Skeletonbreath- gypsy-jazz-rock power trio (bass, drums, and electric violin). They rock signifigantly harder than most jazz fusion groups.

An Endless Sporadic- prog-rock
Behold... the Arctopus- I don't even know how to begin describing their music other than "experimental". In fact, I don't know if I'd call it "music" at all. Another weird power trio, guitar, drums, and Warr Guitar (which is sort of like a Chapman Stick).

I used to get guitar lessons from a guy named Chris. He's in the band Scale the Summit. They're pretty big and instrumental. Great band.

Yep! I took lessons in his old house back when he first moved to Houston up until a few months after they got signed to Prosthetic. I got to see the two 6 strings that he built himself, his old Conklin, and the first two 8 strings that he got built from Sherman.
