It's alright, I guess. Blocks without binding seems like wearing a tie with gym shorts and full-sized headstocks and bodies with shorter scale lengths always look a little out of proportion to me. It's a cool color though.

That was true 55-67. After 67 it widely changes but I'm sure the old usage was still in use in some places less effected by the post 67 counter-culture, like down South, but hippies had enclaves even in the South. I was just asking because I'm more familiar with the post 67 usage, but my father could have referred to his father as The old man vs My old man, as mate. OK? I hope so and we can drop it...

To be fair, it's pretty much interchangeable in the UK between "father" and "husband". We'd only use it for boyfriend a bit ironically.
