Interesting stack idea

So guys, I'm in my local GC, just looking around at used gear (I'm in the market for a bass cab) and I find a used Ampeg 210, and a used GK Backline 410. Altogether the package would come to ~$375. Would this be a good rig to set up with my 350W Hartke head? Or am I better off buying a new 410 at that price?

They are both 8 Ohm cabs? Pass.

... and the reason would be that the 210 will be getting the same power as the 410, so that would mean that each driver in the 210 would be getting 2x the power fed to it as each driver in the 410 ...

... with that said, unless the 210 speakers could EFFICIENTLY handle that imbalance, and the 410 speakers were of a lower rating (power handling), and this imbalance was done INTENTIONALLY (to distribute the power appropriately), it would be a pass situation in favor of equal power distribution into all the drivers ...

.. so, if matching cab impedance go 210/210 or 410, 410/410, etc ...

Now if the 410 was a 4 ohm cab, and the 210 an 8 ohm cab, you now have even distribution of power to each cab/speaker ...

.. clear as mud?
