I do own multiples. This week I got out my fretless Jazz,which I'd not played in over a year. My intonation was a bit off,but I was able to really get into JUST playing the bass for the first time in awhile. The fretless makes you really concentrate. It felt great.






Does it get any better than that?

I would think not. Being predominately a guitard player for the 16 years after my hands were damaged I've been so into playing bass since I finally let go of the mental demons that plagued me. I tried playing guitar a few days ago and it felt very weird to me. The way my mind works is just not guitar-centric anymore, although, my acoustic playing doesn't feel nearly as weird as my Yammy felt.

If you play multiple instruments, does it take a few minutes before you mind switched gears?

Absolutely. It always takes me a second to mentally switch from bass clef to treble clef and back. It also takes a jump when switching from a 4 string bass to a 5 string bass, or from electric to upright.

Over the past 17 years I have been playing bass, I started off on a passive PBass. I just picked up my PBass from the repair shop, after converting it back to a passive PBass (EMGs, brass nut). In your playing, have you come full-circle? Once or multiple times?

Pretty much not. I started on a 4 string (Ibanez Roadster), moved to a 4 string with narrow spacing, to a 5 with narrow spacing, to fretless 5's with narrow spacing. It's pretty much been evolution.

Are you happy with your gear? If not, are you happy with any part of your gear?

Yes. I have a decent okay bass that I got about 8 or 9 years ago. She has done well, and I love her like a friend. I just got a new amp (GK Mb115). I will eventually get a new bass after I get a car.


Ever feel like you truly missed the boat and your whole day is ruined because of it? For example: not answering an interview question you would of loved to answer, and now your whole day is completely ruined and unable to be repaired without the help of alcohol and medication?

Perhaps get an onion smell on your breath!
I do hear chewing coffee beans can aid in bad breath, I do not know about garlic breath though. Either way, I recommend brushing teeth, or at least scrubbing tongue with toothbrush/ mouthwash.

Why does this computer speaker suck? It will have very little volume, then I would turn off the power surge and put it back on minutes later and it works again...?

A song called Knock on Wood ~ Threshing Floor

This is from Sandi's link (she is the singer and co founder of The Threshing Floor. Her husband Steve is the other co founder :) I went to high school with Steve) We actually had a couple songs I liked better, but I didn't get to record those as they had found their replacement bass player ( Sandi! ). I went back to my projects but enjoyed my time with them.

What song are you trying hard to convince your band mates to cover? If you're in a band of course. If not what song would you most like to cover?
