I change my hair styles almost as much as I change my underwear. Same with facial hair. I just get so bored with my face/head I gotta change it.
Medium length with bangs is the most time spent on my noggin thought. Currently it's past my shoulders and wavy as heck.

What ever you do, don't get into a manga as book material research. Especially one that's over 300 episodes long ... and you actually like the damn thing. Don't do that. Avoid Netflix. I wish I could. . . Bleach ... you suck.... and I dig you.

Soooo, ever thought about writing a book?

I did. Went so far as to write a couple of chapters, a book proposal, and had an agent shopping it. Then she died, her replacement was flakey, and I had too much else going on to pursue it.
I did write a children's book. If I can find someone to illustrate it I'll work on getting it published.

How do you stay awake through a boring meeting or class?

Well the nights are what you make them. Tonights perfect night is going to be watching our Tivo'd foodie shows, while enjoying grilled fish and veggies with a glass of white merlot and then, if the numbah 1 son is gone ... chicka chicka bow wow!!! :D

How do you like your veggies prepared?

Preferably, grilled. I eat them every which way. Veggies and veggie byproducts make up about 90% of my food intake.

One of the T-shirts we made for our girl scout camporee over the last few years. I'm in charge of design, silk-screening, and then ran a tie-dye station cycling through 120 girls and leaders in groups of 20-30. BIG job, but it's been great to see the girls wearing their shirts, even 2 or 3 years later. And to hear how much they enjoyed making them. Usually camporee t-shirts never get worn again. I even see leaders still wearing them.

What was the last major undertaking you agreed to and then wondered afterward what you were thinking?

A Police tribute band for which I'd have to travel 30 miles from my home in horrendous traffic in public transport. That didn't get too far.

Another academics related question, if anyone can answer: can a place like the MIT (Massachusetts Instt. Of Tech) reject someone's PG program admission application (who is actually an INCREDIBLY bright student, has done a massive amount of research work and has scored real high in the GRE) because he's from a 'lesser university' in India? :hmm:

I do not know if they would reject you being that you came from a "lesser" college. If you have really good work resume and grades, that should speak volumes. But I am not sure of anything administrative like that.

How do you like to spend a rainy day?

Send the kid off to a friend's house and snuggle with my sweetie. Been married 19 years and it's still our favorite thing to do. Must be doing something right.

Is your work seasonal, or is it pretty consistent regardless of time of year?

Well it was an ego crusher and pretty well sucked but it really did make my "see the light" and my relationship with my new lovely gal is much much better for it.

It is simply this. No matter how much you love someone, and no matter how much you try, you cannot change their feelings about you. If they have an ulterior motive that has zero to do with your feelings and your more than obvious devotion, you are simply along for the ride. If you are lucky enough, and strong enough to walk away, you will have made an important discovery. Growing up that much at once emotionally was a very hard thing to do.

The Circus is in Town!!! I'm taking my youngun' to see Ringling Bros and Barnum -n- Bailey. Have you ever been to the circus?

Ooh, I get to answer two. Yes, been to the circus a few times - Ringling et. al. back in the '70's when I was a kid, and Cirque de Soleil in 2000.

Last big epiphany came after reading "The Music of Pythagoras" and was the realization that music provides one foundation for understanding the Universe and the Divine. That's a very abbreviated way to try to explain it. I try to incorporate that realization into my life and my music.

What thought-habit are you working to change?
