Oo, you're right. I haven't read Robbins in years. Jitterbug Perfume was my favorite. I kind of got burned out on him, though. He seemed to be recirculating.
The Right Stuff is my favorite Wolfe. His use of language in that book is phenomenal.

Good advice, read it twice.A note about the other thread - its status is exactly what the last post says: Closed for review. Obviously, things were getting out of hand and derailing the thread. I closed the thread so that things wouldn't get worse, and when Thor has the time, he'll clean it up and reopen it. My suggestion would be to let go of talking about what went wrong (since mentioning other members only fans the flames) and move forward with whatever would have been going on had the first thread not turned so unpleasant.
it's kind of a tossup. I'll let Tom decide which he prefers, I can append it, but then it would be up to 900 plus. I am leaning toward just linking it and making this part 3. So I will just link it for now unless AT wants something else.
One point, moderation comments, good or bad, don't need to be in here, they just distract from the thread. So if you made one, save me the trouble and remove it.

I saw the part 2 thread was closed, and was awaiting a reopen. I did not notice this one until I got an email saying there was a response on pt. 2 and got the link for pt. 3.

I was not aware he is/was in a band, so I guess that's my fault for not researching the player before commenting.
I will be picking up a copy of Ghosts as soon as I can, once it gets to my neck of the woods. I've been looking for In Cold Sweat as well, w/o luck, so far.

At the risk of burnin' down the house with another flame war, I post another video by the same man, in which he showcases a technique I've never seen before: playing with a pick, tucking it somewhere into his hand to thumb slap, and then seamlessly retrieving the pick again.
I post this simply to inspire others to try it. If I could still play, I'd be all over this. It just never occurred to me. Very, very handy technique to have.
