Intonation issue

Hey everyone,

I am a bit of a freak about intonation, and want to ask the collective mind for suggestions.

On my Italia Maranello Cava, i just switched to HiBeams, and not cannot intonate it. Prior, had Brite Flats on, and it intonated, just.

The e saddle is maxed out, and frets 3 on are all sharp. 12 is fine, weirdly.

I have never run into an intonation problem i could not solve (on an electric instrument) through saddle fiddling, or shimming a neck (the Maranello Cava is set neck).

What should i try? Would love to stick with the Hi Beams for the tone i want right now, but yes, one solution is to go back to Brite Flats.

Put on the old strings and verify intonation. Might not be related to strings

Did you set the witness points on the new strings? That makes a huge difference on intonation.

And I would ask you to check the nut slot height for being cut too high. But you state that there were no intonation issues before you tried a different set of strings. So that's probably out.
