Hello Everyone,
I'm new here. To be precise- newly registered. I'm reading the forums for years now, but the time has come, to register and exchange knowledge, rather then to "read only" from the shadows. I also wanted to help out, or give advice to anyone in need, since I also got a lot of help from just reading the topics or just from good advises from nice people along my 20+ years of playing the bass. I learned through the years that sometimes some good talks/discussions can teach you more than years of experimenting. So, I'm proud to be here between people with a good taste of choosing the right musical instrument.
By the way, I'm from Slovakia. I'm 40 years old. Right now I'm actively playing some alternative metal with my band, but I am involved in lot of side projects from Hip-hop through folklore, even some electronic beats, so I would say I'm open to good music, and I'm not 'limited' by any genre definitions.
Enough of empty words, I know that everyone is more intrested in gear.
Nowday's my main bass is an 1989 Japanese Fender Precision bass.- love it.
My main #2 is a custom built Sivcak ERN 4 T (tele-bass)- it's my signature instrument built for me by a Slovakian luthiere.
My backup is a Charvel San Dimas Pro-mod 5 string PJ.- it's relatively new for me, and I'm blown away by it's sound, even compared to more expensive Fenders.
My amp is a custom built D-class 750W ProLude amp, from a Hungarian butique amp builder.
My box is a Markbass 4*10 from the first ones. Manufactured in Italy. Who heard it can tell, that this is a bit different (in a good way) that the newly made ones..
I'm also owning a Line 6 Helix if I'm in need of effects versatility or some experimenting with sounds.
