Does anyone know if there's an app out there that can pan different apps left or right?

I'm using a Synthstation 49 as a synth. Using MIDIbridge I can split the keyboard between two apps. I'd like to pan each one to a different output (L or R), run one channel through my pedal effects and have the other go straight to my mixer. I know it's kinda weird but I figured it might be similar to running effects in parallel with a clean bass tone from an app.

Cubasis does this. So you you run two inputs through audiobus into cubasis and then pan the channels.

I assume auria could do the same too and probably a host of other saws.

My dream of dual amping came through, as I can use both Ampkit and Jamup at the same time in the input slot. Both send the signal
To the output slot. If one choose the speaker out option on the output slot both signal are mixed 50-50%
But using a DAW such as MTDAW/ Cubasis/ Auria extends the possibility with more control over the panning and volume of each "channel".
On my SC you can hear my Dual Amping iOD clip where I've used the SVT CL on Ampkit for nice lows and Hiwatt 103 on Jamup for crunchy mids and highs. I also add the Bassmaster in some parts. Really cool concept as one can keep one amp rather clean the othe thirty, or with chorus etc.
Optimally it would be nice if one could also run 2x Jamup etc so one could use only one app.

The motivation for dual amping is due to Chris Squire and his Ampeg plus Marshall mix, or Geddy with his Sansamps and orange AD200 mix.

This is really cool...

One of the few things I actually miss about the AxeFX is the ability to run parallel chains.

Dual amping is something I've mentioned earlier, also to PG.
btw, I've several un-reviled tricks in my sleeve, very cool ones if somebody is after dual amping and parallel effect processing on iOS. If there is any interest I might revile some ;)

Without IK I'd have never started down this path and I paid full wack for my iRig when they first came out in the Apple Store.

Maybe their apps will get better maybe they won't, their not actively ripping anyone off here, I've spent a lot of money with Jamup and a bit of money with Amplitube, if Amplitube had more to offer me they'd have more of my money. Doesn't really bother me and I don't need to bag on them for not offering me enough or taking enough of my money, hell even if I bought everything IK, Jamup and Ampkit offered I'd be hard pressed to be above what I spend on 2 pedals hell maybe 1 pedal.

Since the Pro has no MIDI out, and there is no Lightning split/merge "Y" cable in existence so I can use the iRig MIDI with it, I may need to go to another product, anyway. I'm torn. The iRig pro with no MIDI out may be a deal buster for me.

Thank you guys for keeping it civil. In the past when things have gotten to heated, we don't want to stick around and argue. We have better things to do, like make awesome hardware and updates. Even I have my fair share of work in testing and organizing things behind the scenes. Its not that we don't want to be around, but like I am in my personal life, I don't like negativity. In general, I believe in the power of positive thinking and have done my best to avoid things when getting to heated.

We do our best to answer questions and avoid trolls/shills and differentiate constructive criticism (Which is important for us to improve) and flat out bashing. No one likes to be bashed, why would a company be any different. So, know we aren't just ignoring it all, just putting our energy into positive things for positive outcomes. Not just for the sake of defending our name and products, but to improve them and ourselves with each and every one. That is a big thing we focus on here at IK. Improving and pushing the bar each and every time. Kind of like lifting, got to add a bit more weight each work out session to get to the big numbers and we are trying. :)

Understandably so, thank you very kindly for your patience. We have been slammed with new stuff coming out, updates and pushing our computer modeling to new limits and the Custom Shop. People forget, we aren't a huge company size wise. We have just made big splashes off of our sound and technology.

At the very least I'm glad we can help bring your entire iOS set up some control and some clean sound with our hardware. iRig Pro and BlueBoard are two things I personally and looking forward to as well. I use a digitech looper for now, but once iRig BlueBoard starts launching and iRig Pro arrives I'm redoing my entire live set up around an iPad. :D

We have made some huge improvements and additions to AmpliTube, including Invalid Link Removed (Dare I say one of the best DAWs on iOS as of yet) and [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. We have more in the works as well...

We have had no direct confirmation but if you read into some of the comments made, like I did, it does sound like IK has just about gotten their hardware line up to snuff and they are ready to make some improvements to Amplitube. Also sounds like some of the custom shop offerings for bass could find their way onto the iOS version. I for one am excited to see that, especially if the models are officially licensed models so all the buttons, controls and sliders are there as opposed to a knock-off amp model that is missing something.

So, if you have strong doubts I can't say I blame you. Last time the discussion got a little hostile and it was mostly based on IK's actions on their own forums. They have the right to do whatever they want over there and we have the right to not bother visiting their forums. As long as we can all keep things in perspective, I don't see anything wrong with this ongoing conversation the way it's going at the moment.. if it slips back to the way it was then we're not doing our community any positive service.

Thanks for your honest comments as well, we as in IK as a whole, are looking to improve. As I have mentioned, not just with updates and releases, but over all. With feedback being picked up on, feature requests (Still the IK forums is the best as the developers check that frequently, its just a battlefield when competitors try to slam us and such.) and of course our overall sound, which to us is the most important.

We have had to change courses a few times to keep up with the demand of different markets and groups of musicians. We are a world wide company and there are still areas of the world begging for us to send stuff to their parts of the world. So, really we've just been trying to keep up above all. With so much on our plates things have had to be readjusted.

Our Custom Shop has continued being updated, more than ever before and growing. That alone has kept us more than busy, after you throw in our Mobile iOS and Android stuff, SampleTank 3, ARC and the stuff we are planning to announce in January at NAMM and CES in 2014, this 4th quarter is already booked and still getting busier. But, above all our focus has been to improve.

Honestly, when I first started doing this as an IK fan, IK hired me to talk about IK gear. I was horrified and thin skinned making my day to day grind incredibly hard. After I realized its the internet and everyone says whatever they want anonymously I grew up, put my big boy pants on and didn't care as much.

But like I said earlier, I have always tried to be positive, think positive and focus on the positive. It has helped, but some of the negative forums have been neglected for good reason. We've been putting our energy into things that actually prove worthwhile than nitpicking and arguing. I appreciate comments like these though. Back in the day when I started these would make my whole day easier! :D

We have a couple of positions open actually, take a look for yourself on the IK site. The jobs are updated as the need arises. When I started we only had 50 people worldwide. This upcoming February will mark my third year and we have grown to almost double that size in those 3 years to help keep up with demand and the new markets wanting IK gear.

Sorry man, perhaps I worded it wrong. In a previous post, it was mentioned that the TRS ports could be assigned to switches making it an 8 pedal rig. Lets see if I can ask the right question....

The literature clearly states it can take continuous controllers, but it does not state that momentary switches can be used and assigned a function.

Can 2 momentary switches/pedals (on/off - open/closed) be used in each TRS jack, using a 1/4" TRS to R/L "Y", that can be assigned patch or bank change information? I have no use for the expression pedals (a variable resistor), but I could use more then 4 foot switches.

I just saw this new Line6 adapter at the Apple Store: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
It's the same price as the Jam, and adds 1/4" out, headphone out, and line out! Has anyone used this yet? It sure beats the Jam on paper, can't see a downside unless it specifically doesn't work with JamUp.

As we already know by using Audiobus one can use 2 input slots with 2 amp simulation apps of your choice. Hei one can even use 3 apps, so one can use the big 3 app out there, Jamup, Amplitube and Ampkit altogether. If one choose speaker out on the output slot the signal will be blended without any control over the blend ration or panning. But using a DAW which can do multitrack recording means one can record 3 tracks at once gives us lots of possibilities, specially when we want to record something, thus not live performance.

The typical case is the dual amping where we want one track to be clean with nice lows, the other with OD/ Distortion/ additional effect. Like Chris Squire with his Ampeg SVT and Marshall 100W guitar head blend, Geddy Lee with dual Sansamps chain, one clean one distorted. Today he also blend two Orange AD200 into the Sansamps dual signal. Billy Sheehan is also a dual signal player, I think. Rip can confirm.

One nice point about the Audiobus triple signal possibility is the fact is that we can use dual amping, and use the third input slot for dry signal! By choosing a min in the input slot we will manage to send dry signal into the DAW. That can be very useful as we can do something with this signal in the DAW, or just keep it there (even muted) for a case we are happy with out playing but not with the tone. We can take the dry track and re-amp it in Jamup/ Amplitube/ Ampkit.

So here is a short clip where I've used dual amping, and recorded the dry signal at the same time. The dry signal is rather low in the mix, so you will not hear it, but I could do something with it if I wanted/ needed to:

Now, here I've used MTDAW which is fairly limited. If I've used Cubasis I could put the dry signal through one of the internal effects in Cubasis. They even have some amps in there. I know Evangelos find the amps in there quite good on a guitar.

In my clip, about halfway through, I place Galileo Organ emulation app in the effect slot. This gives me a possibility of using the amp/ preamp section of an Hammond to ad some bite AND using the rotating speaker cab, chorus, reverb and other features there is in an Hammond to get very cool effects. These type of effects are not easy to do only with stop boxes!!

On my next post I will revile some Auria features which are VERY powerful.

Btw Obi, most of us here are not under cover. ;)
