I'm not going to rub it. The Apogee Jam is great, the best out there for its price.
The iTrack Solo have that little edge with al digital/ analog inn and out. And the headphone amp is a nice addition. There is also a gain control over the line out.

What surprises me is that Focusrite do not mention iPhone (and i guess iPod) compatibility!

Yeah, you would think that they'd be all over the iPhone as well. Oh well.

The Apogee Jam is nothing to write off, either way. It's a GREAT interface.

I finally got my gain staging issues worked out yesterday and now my FOH bass sound is THUNDEROUS!! Using my MIA P w/ flats, the rhythm section is just downright TIGHT. I backed off the compression a hair and now it's perfect. Nice and punchy, and the LA comp grabs any nasty peaks before they can do any damage.

Well done....by yourself....good job
To me the melody (solo part) would have stood out soooo much better if it was played like two octaves higher. It would have sat in the mix perfectly. But I really enjoyed it. :)

I'm as always quite un-educated!! Never seen Gilligan's Island!!
So there you go:
I do not know Kiss, AC/DC/Iron Maiden/Mr. Big/Scorpions/ repertoire, I hardly knows any Metallica songs, even I know it is Metallica if I hear them. I know zero worship songs, never seen Gilligan's Island, have no idea how Black Sabbath sounds....

In my own little bubble I do listen to that:

Yeah, you need some Sabbath in your repertoire. :)

Unfortunately, in the early 70's when prog first appeared, there were a few different camps.

Sabbath was NOT a prog band though they did get a bit experimental over the years. They were at their heart a BLUES band. And a damn good one.

Are there any iOS practice programs that allow songs to be imported from dropbox? I know a lot of ios apps allow files like PDFs to be transferred from dropbox to the appropriate program. The band I play with uploads new material into a shared dropbox drive so it would be handy to be able to pull directly from there on the ipad/iphone to practice along with instead of having to download it to my PC, transfer it to itunes, sync itunes to the device and then transfer it into the respective program (amplitube/ampkit/jamup etc).

Listen to their earlier stuff, like Hole in the Sky. Even the Paranoid album has some heavy blues influence.

But I wouldn't go into it expecting Muddy Waters, that's for damn sure.
