Going to host a solo bassist evening with Darren Michaels, Brittany Frompovich, Kent Beaty, and myself (Derrick Ogden) for July 22nd in the Des Moines area.
I'll get out promo info about a month before. Hope some of you can make it down and check it out.

We are doing one night before heading out to Denver to play the LoDo bass bash July 25-27.

The amphitheater's pretty nice but I wish they hadn't built it facing West; I played a set there last summer and the late afternoon sun was in my eyes. That was the least of my problems, though, b/c it was a legitimate 100 degree day.
