Hi guys I just relocated to Ankeny. What is music scene like in DM metro and Central Iowa in general?
Also can anyone recommend a bass tech for set ups and stuff? I came from South Florida, so probably due for an adjustment........
Also a music store other than guitar center that a bass player would enjoy.
We relocated due to wife's promotion, so I'm still looking for work, but it seems ok so far.
Try pro music, on 86th
I just had him check my setup today. His name is Ian. He has always treated me right.
I'm from Fort Dodge! Currently living in Boston fighting the good fight for us from Iowa. Best to everyone!

Thanks guys. I've been to that GC and got a horrible first impression. One or two employees looked like they were contemplating suicide and check in guy was beyond wierd.
This is really arbitraty, but just give me a moment to specify:
I'll pass out a number to people who specifically ask for one...
or make a post like, "Hey! From X area, checking in."
Etcetera.
Otherwise I'll overlook it.
I know, pointless information, pointless numbers. Just humor me.
Hey, checking in from southeast Iowa, New London/Mt. Pleasant area. Just getting started at 29. Picked up my first bass last year and updated a few weeks ago. No gigs yet as I'm just getting my chops up.
