Hahaha! Yes!

So tell me Iowa bassists, do you guys have a hard time landing gigs in a state that isn't super populated? (Like California or NY.)
I know there's always a demand for musicians, but it seems like it might be a bit more difficult in the middle of the US. :p

Not from Iowa but i did spend 4 years in Iowa at Grinnell College. Back then I wasn't a bassist either (i was a drummer) so i really don't count. I did want to pop in and say that I had an easier time getting bands going while I was out in Iowa but I had a harder time getting paid gigs. Then again I wasn't in a "big" city.

Just lots of practice and playing for church on Wednesdays and Sunday mornings.
Had an original band going for a while, but it kind of fell apart. We were getting pretty good too. D;

What's going on bass-related with the rest of you?

Ive been working on some originals and interesting covers w my new group Aries Rising. I'll post a set list later. Still thinking about arranging a DSMGTG. hsve to find a good time and location. If anyone has ideas shoot me a pm I'll see what I can do to help organize it.

Oh yeah, I checked out your music a few weeks ago. That's some good stuff you guys have there!

Thanks Ryan- sorry I was scrambling out of job one to job two earlier...

Anyhow, the two clips I posted have the same bass ( different rigs ). Pairing the Modulus carbon fiber neck with Bartolinis make for my favorite combination of crisp, clear sustain, and the ability to get dark and round with your hands or a tad of eq adjustment on the bass.

Another clip with the same bass multi-tracked. The lead is using a Zoom G2.1u guitar pedal.

Gotta love Barts with Drs :)
