Iphone 5 $800!?

Honestly, I have been too. They've definitely, unabashedly "borrowed" Apple's aesthetic, and applied them to some seriously nice offerings. Even their t.v.'s and other home electronics are so well regarded.

Funny how in my younger years Samsung was relegated to lower tier electronics along with Sanyo, Emerson and the like... you've come a long way, baby.

i've played around but not owned iphones and ipads. same for samsung galaxy tab and the s3 and its my opinion that samsung definitely improved on the original, if you will

as far as TV's go, my first hi def was a sony bravia. great TV but my samsung absolutely mops the floor with it in every way I can think of which makes the fact that the price point is so much lower taste that much sweeter.

I have played with both my iPhone and a GS3 and while the Galaxy is cool in what it can do right out of the box, I can make my iPhone do all of the same things with a bit of work, while having a nicer OS to work with. Android is just too clunky, iOS is so smooth. Plus my battery life doesn't suck. The only thing that the Galaxy has over the iPhone is the screen size, and that is going to change.

How much playing around with the GS3 did you do? Not trying to start an argument, just wondering how much experience you have with it to form your opinion.

A few hours of the owner showing me all of its fantastic features. It was running Ice Cream Sandwich and in those few hours it went from 100% battery to 5%.
