All of my current line of pedals including Dubterranea are affected by the component shortage right now - I can't get the parts needed to build them and there are no workable replacements, so I won't be able to build any of them until maybe the end of the year, maybe early next year.

I'm at the acceptance phase, now that it's clear Paypal and Reverb won't be doing anything about it. But it made me want to thank all of y'all. Over more than a decade and thousands of customers, 99.99% of them have been such awesome people. There have been numerous times where an unscrupulous person could've gamed the system, and it only takes that one person actually doing it for me to realize how lucky I am to have such good customers.

It's easy to focus on the one bad thing and ignore all the good, so I'm trying to fight that. If you've ever reached out to let me know what the pedals have meant for you and your music-making, it really does mean a lot to me and I want to say thanks.

Regarding the component shortage situation, for a while I was really freaking out. All of my current pedals have been affected. I had been making plans to ramp up production of those pedals, but suddenly that was all out the window. But in the last couple weeks I've come up with many, many ideas for new pedals, and started reviving projects that I had already nearly completed over the years, but couldn't focus on because I needed to prioritize making the stuff that was already released and people were clamoring for. So this situation is a bit of a blessing in disguise, and I'm excited to do some new things soon.

If there's anything I, or any of the other people here who are supportive can do to help counterbalance this karmic squatdumper of a customer let me/us know. I'm happy to support in whatever way needed.

...Not that you don't know this already, but I'm really excited to see the new development unfold. This actually gets me more enthusiastic in terms of the possibilities of what you might come up with given the creativity of previous stuff and also the desire you have to not rehash classics or cover ground that's already been worked-over to death in the effects world.

Do you have a timeline in mind for stuff? I only ask because I'd like to hop on the new stuff but places like Facebook, etc. are really poor at getting your posts, etc in front of me even though I have your page liked, favorited and supposedly 'see first'.

Right?! The thought did cross my mind to list a handful of pedals I don't care about to see if any have parts to be turned into something of the iron ether ilk.

a couple of the cooler weirder pedals I have that are also not terribly high tech from what I can tell:

-An old Ibanez dual chorus...where the signal moves from one chorus with width and speed controls into a second with width and speed controls, both choruses are voiced differently so playing them against each other makes for some really weird stuff as the push and pull in different ways with different sweeps.

-the VFE Bumblebee_ It's an optical compressor that feeds into a volume swell...so you can do stuff like squish the attack and then let it build/sustain into the swell circuit, and do some other oddball stuff.

I think the components for analogue stuff are available, it's just the processing/chips that aren't. So I assume that there's plenty to work with to come up with some interesting stuff as long as it's not the digital stuff.

It'll probably be a few months. After the next batch of FMerons my priority is releasing a Eurorack wavetable VCO, since it's already been in development for a long time before all this. So any new pedals will have to be after that.

So I pulled out my moog expression pedal to use with my xerograph deluxe. (Doing dem long sweeps). It’s pretty bad actually. At about 70% toe down the expression pedal jumps to full. It’s not smooth. Any recommendations for a newer expression pedal to use with the deluxe?

I'm in the same boat, just have the Moog pedal. I think I've seen people use the Helix expression pedal but I haven't tried one yet.
