Iron Ether Appreciation Society

Had a bit of a revelation to get a low-passed sound I wanted from the XD. I didn’t realize how sensitive the Sensitivity knob really was until I played an open A with fuzz on and slowly turned the Sens knob. I didn’t want much of the high end to come through in order to maintain a Moog-like sound. Anyway, I used the Hiero BEAD v3 (sorry don’t have an Oxide) into the XD. I accidentally switched a toggle on the BEAD so the sound is darker than I wanted. I also have to figure out gain staging in my setup while recording. So many levels to set (input, output, headphones, system, yada yada). Anyway, I did an improv with the intent to play sparse. The sound at the end is something I’ve never gotten out of my bass so that was the coolest part. Thanks for listening. Improv is on the Soundcloud link.

Thread @Emanuel refers to is titled "Broughton, Iron Ether, Fuzzrocious 3-1" and the IE sale part of it is dated July - times have changed since then concerning the level of gouging.

Also, not everyone is into gouging. Gouging was going on over the summer too, but not as bad as these days, but plenty of people still sell for a fair price because they like to pay a fair price when they buy...even though they could easily gouge someone.

Site has been whacky and saw tailor looking for web help...so not sure if real but the site is back w an opportunity for those waiting on an XD.

Just want to assure people there was no website hack or anything, I just messed the site up for a few hours due to my poor web dev skills. All good now!

I'm thinking about trading my current gen Fmeron for another IE pedal. I know about the current preorder, but wanted to throw it out here before I did anything. I'm pretty much open to anything, but prefer synth/octavish pedals at the moment (I'm aware of the Fmeron as well, just would like to try another, if possible)
