Hmm, maybe an expression pedal shootout is in the future. I really like the Moog with the Xerograph as well as the Spaceman Explorer, but I can see how a smoother sweep would be desirable.

That is a good idea. I can think of a variety of characteristics that could be compared… height, freq of sweep, controls. (EP-3 has a control for the frequency range), sweep mechanism (older Moogs had a piece of string, Korg has a cog).

The newer ones definitly are smoother and more accurate. I wish my reflex had the guts of my dunlop pedal.. of all the expression and volume pedals I've had, the ones with different impedance outputs, and adjustable levels really got my attention. Every effect pedal is different, with my dunlop some work well, and others half the sweep is wasted, adjust that out and spread out what range you have

No. I think most/all of the regular lineup were $245 pre-covid times.

Pre-Covid, the rotary switch used for the FrantaBit's mode selection cost around $2, and now it costs like $9. PCBs cost 50% more to manufacture. Just a couple examples out of all the rising costs to make electronics now. If you can even get the part you need. It's a bummer, I know, but I don't want to start using junky quality parts.
