Thanks for the update! I wouldn’t have checked the website without it. Got my preorder in.
It seems like controls? I literally never use obliterate so I kind of backed down my excitement level, I'm happy with what I have.

The longer I've used the FrantaBit, the more I have come to appreciate Obliterate. I actually prefer it to Degrade these days *shrug*
I’m not sure what to expect, but i checked the Super Frantabit box. Anybody else?
While this may not be a "new" circuit per se, it's VERY cool to see something different coming down the pipeline from Taylor. Definitely a neat concept, to expand out the controls like that!
In case anyone is on the fence about the Super FrantaBit, here is what the FrantaBit sounds like on its own + in conjunction with the 3 Leaf Audio Proton v4 (funk) and with the 3 Leaf Audio Octabvre MKIII + the Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe (industrial synth):
I looped the tracks and then tweaked knobs so you can hear many of the sounds the FrantaBit offers. You might not like all the sounds and that's okay: there are so many you are bound to like some of them! See the timestamps on each track for details on which effects are engaged and when they are engaged.
For synth sounds--which is the actual way I use a bitcrusher because I am not in a Super Nintendo theme music cover band--I prefer the FrantaBit to other bitcrushers. It has some really unique sounds, especially if you sweep the sample rate reduction on the "obliterate" mode. It also lets you control the mix/blend and do actual bitcrushing in addition to sample rate reduction (many bitcrushers only do sample rate reduction). When it comes to synth sounds, I find that the mix pot is key.

Thanks, Erithon! Sounds like background music for robot porn. I like what the Proton did. Have to wait until August to see what the thing is capable of. I thought $453 wasn’t too bad to fork out. Wonder how many will be in the wild.

I'm glad you picked up on that. I recorded these while composing the score for a steamy android montage in Bladerunner 2049. Unfortunately, the studio wasn't a fan and ended up cutting that scene and giving the project to Hans Zimmer. Just how it goes sometimes.

Couldn't resist. I went ahead and ordered an Arcing Prisms. I wouldn't say the demos that exist for it are great, but there are enough snippets of cool sounds that I think I'll find something fun to do with it. I also have never owned an expression pedal, but I think I'll get one to try with this. I love Taylor's creativity with these pedals.

Arcing Prisms is pretty cool. I enjoyed mine, although Ive since pulled it from my minimal current board. I want to see some top jack Oxides…any chance?
