Iron Ether Subterranea

USPS says my Subterranea is already back home where it belongs. Based on my time with the prototype my modded SubT has a permanent spot on my board.

The only real question is if I can fight the urge to have two.

Hey I didn't pay attention, will the upgrade fix the other to synth octaves to totally cut out so I can you use the sub octave as a completely clean octave? Because you all know with the pedal not updates, both synth octaves can be totally CCW and I will still hear them if I just want the sub octave clean.

Yes, the bleed through is gone and now it is as quiet or quieter as a straight octaver than the OC-2, MXR BOD, Octamizer.

I ordered a custom color from Taylor before they were shipping in late June (6/21) and I have not heard anything yet but I suspect the custom orders are handled differently than stock and he was still building inventory then. I'm hoping to see it before everyone's mods are done as I was an early buyer and that would mean those folks got one, sent it back and got it again before I saw mine. No ill will though, I'm happy to wait especially given I will not have to send mine back. Just getting a bit anxious because the feedback on the SubT is insanely good.

If it's any consolation to you, the upgrades are handled by another IE person in Colorado, unrelated to Taylor in LA so I'm sure it's not slowing Taylor's progress with new/outstanding orders.

I sent my Sub T out for the upgrade last week and received it back today.

It is way better now!
The noise is gone and the volume controls have less gain and a much more usable range. The new filter control is really cool. It can go from all thump to oc-2 to crazy squelch.

I'd say the tracking is a little better than the oc-2, but not drastically. I A/B'd them and it really does nail that sound.

I was a little underwhelmed by the pedal when I first received it. But now with the upgrade I love it.
