USA's CO2 output in neck and neck with China - and you're talking about a quarter of the worlds population there. …. and there's a kicker - much of the pollution caused by China is due to products exported to the USA - ie. A lot of China's CO2 is also due to American consumerism.

I reiterate that you really have no idea of how the scientific process works. How is it that you're the only one not brainwashed? I have been a scientist for over 35 years, and I would never let politics or money sway my intellectual honesty.

Sounds like a reasonable position to me. Plenty of alarmists will look down their nose as if you're somehow inferior if you don't agree with them. They get into a sort of group-think where they get all hyped up by having others of agreeable opinions agreeing with them. There's a psychological term to explain that sort of behavior, but it escapes me at the moment..

Look again at the pie chart. Canada total co2 is 2%, but yes top ten. That is one tenth of USA's total as we are one tenth the population of USA.

It's friggin cold up here and we have to heat for six months. Like duff said. We are on par with USA emissions.

When the core runs out of hydrogen fuel, it will contract under the weight of gravity. However, some hydrogen fusion will occur in the upper layers. As the core contracts, it heats up. You do know that you pay a 'bottle deposit' that you pay when you buy a bottle or can, and you are not getting 'paid' to recycle. You're getting your deposit back.
