Is 167 Watts really worth $300

If your happy with your tone and you’ve tried the extension cab, then it will be the least expensive way to get more volume. If you’re really jonesing for something even bigger, decide what that is and save your money.

Adding a cab to my 210 worked incredibly well for me. Was really having to push it into not sounding good and farting to keep up with 2-3 guitars and a drummer. Added the 115 and it sounds good (to me), and I was able to dial the volume down from 8-9 to 4-5, and more than keep up no matter how many guitarists, (and now a keyboard), there are. I apparently got lucky, the rumble works well with it in the concrete bunker we jam in Friday nights, and we don't gig, so I don't have to schlep it anywhere. Maybe go to GC and try some different Ampeg cabs thru a 210 to see what sounds good to you.
