I had a Mesa PH 4x10 and 1x15 stack and it just didn't work. The 4x10 carried most of the volume and the 1x15 might as well have not been there.
To my ear, either cabinet sounded better individually than when they were together.
Most 4x10 will spank a 1x15 quite handily.
Unless you are actively bi-amping with level balance, said spanking will be obvious.
Its funny to me when people say "I got a 410 for the highs, and a 15 to carry the lows"
A GOOD 410 has all the lows you can hear.

Years ago I ran a 410 on top of a 115 all the time. The sky didn't fall, nobody ended up in the hospital or the grave
