is a 4x10 plus a 1x15 silly?

410 is all you'll ever need. The mesapowerhouse 410 is an excellent cab. If you want more headroom, get a bigger head. That cab can handle a lot of power. Remember its just stage volume. The PA should do all the heavy lifting.

Yeah, the general consensus is that of the commonly used setups, the 410/115 is the least optimal, mostly because of the dramatic difference in power handling and sensitivity between the two. I would try and find a matching 15 before considering any other options.
+1

I would add, however, that sometimes this combo can work, it's just the luck of the draw, and if you can try out your whole rig with the 410 it's worth at least a try. But don't buy before trying and making sure it really will work- the odds are that it won't.

To me it's a decision between the 410 working and finding another 115 that matches your current one - note that just any old 115, either, as that could have matching problems with your current 115. Not as likely to fail as the 410, but also still worth a test before buying. Forget the Hartke 210.

If/when you try the 410 with your rig, really listen to both cabinets (put your head down to listen directly to the bottom cabinet), run at full volume, maybe even louder than you run with the band, and compare by unplugging one cabinet and then the other to try and get a handle on exactly what each one contributes.

For example, if you're soloing the 410, and then plug the 115 back in, and there is only a very minor change to the overall sound, consider that the 115 is not adding much and could get masked and then eventually destroyed in the heat of the moment. You should hear a fair contribution from each cabinet, and the two together should be appreciably louder (at least 2 and preferably 3 db, if you have a meter) than either alone for a chance to have the combo work well live.
